So far, so good, Caity! He's on 1 mg of pheno twice a day. It's
been making him drowsy and kinda glassy-eyed since we started it
(Saturday morning) but I'm starting to see improvement in his
activity level. He still hasn't had a seizure since he's been on it,
knock on wood. Last night he took a few sips out of the water bowl -
a MAJOR happening since he won't eat kibble or drink water on his own
since this happened on 11/18. He also put his head into the kibble
dish and took a whiff, but didn't actually eat anything. His
appetite for soup remains excellent and he has a little chubby
belly. The best news I have though is that he came to me when
called! Before all of this, he'd come to me when I'd make a
smooching sound. Last night he came to me twice when I did that!! I
was SO excited! He also followed a polar fleece jingle bell across
the floor. They are his favorite toys and I was really happy to see
him show a little interest in it...

The pheno has been a great help thus far and I'm hoping that he
continues to get better. It was weird at first, with him being so
out of it but I'm glad we're giving it a try. I hope Romana gets
better soon. Let me know if/when you decide to put her on it. You
can always email me privately too if you want. This has been quite
an experience! I'd be flying blind right now too, if it wasn't for
the FHL. What a wonderful group!

Take care and good luck to Romana!

Hugs,
Erin
