Subject: Ferret not feeling well...HELP!
I rescued Wyatt from a pet shop that had him in a
horrible, miserable living condition. No air
conditioning in 95 degree heat, cruddy cat food
to eat and he was sleeping in his own waste and
his cage was swarming with flies. There's
something about him that doesn't seem right. But
I can't put my finger on it! He may have
allergies, sneezes on and off, eats well, drinks
plenty of water but sleeps too much. I had him
tested for inulinoma and he's fine in that area.
He's lost a bit of weight but it could be because
he gets plenty of play time now. He's about 1
year old, a hefty silver mitt. He's grinding his
teeth and has occasional runny poopies. I tried
Pepto and he threw that up within an hour and a
half. He's never thrown up before. Is Pepcid an
option for him and how much should I give him if
it is? Thanks so much! I'm at a loss!
