I don't know what could explain someone thinking their ferret
was healthy and FAT when a necropsy revealed zero body fat and
he looked obviously emaciated to you.
It's hard to say what goes on in the mind of some people, but
I sure hope they get a little education on proper care before
they get another ferret.
