Ferrets are having a lot of reactions to vaccines lately. If you get the
two together and your ferret has a reaction, you wont have any way to
know which vaccine caused it. I want to know so I can pretreat next time
or change vaccine. Kits should recieve their first distemper shot at 8
weeks and at 3-4 week intervals until they are 14 weeks. Rabies should
be given at 12 weeks. Both should be given annually thereafter. So you
can see that you really can't keep this schedule and give both shots at
once. I'm very glad your vet was willing to listen to your concerns.
