Subject: Hurt back?
Hello all,
I must say that I have had the worst 2 days. My question is my kit
decided to jump off the cage or fell off the cage and I think she landed on
her back on a tube. I heard her cry came running in and she was walking in
circles, I picked her up and she pooped and she was dragging her back legs.
Took her to the vet right away. He took xrays and did't see anything broken
or any damage and sent me home with cortozone. It has been less then 12
hours since the accident but she is still not using her back legs. She
moves them when she streches but not walking. I am keeping her seperated
from the other ferrets and have to help her to the bathroom. Basically was
told to keep her as still as possible through the weekend. Through the
panick of the day I seemed to have lost my Pumpkin. My hubby said last
night that she probably is sleeping soundly somewhere. Was up all night
checking and she is gone. There is only one way out of here and we both
don't see how it was possible, but it is. One of the best years in my life
turned out to be the worst one ever. I will keep looking of coarse but is
there any advice on my kits back problem? Thank you and wishing you a safe
