Well another avenue for you to look into is canine
distemper. Canine distemper is very fatal to little
ferrets and is quite common. Even if properly
vaccinated they can still contract the disease seeing
as little is known about how well these vacc protect
ferrets. Distemper is carried on your clothes and
shoes so they don't even have to come in contact with
the infected animal. I lost a kit last year to the
disease. Little Floyd starting having seizures so I
took him to work (I work for a vet) and we put him on
antibiotics and an IV but he had probaly already
suffered brain damage so I said my goodbyes and put
him down. The sad thing is he was up to date on his
vacc.
Good luck with your search for answers I have your
little guys in my prayers.
