Subject: Herbals?

I was just wondering if it would be safe to put a ferret on echinacea,
goldenseal or any other herbals of that nature?
I keep my rats on children's echinacea (3 drops per 8 oz of water) to help
give their immune systems a boost. What would be an okay dose for a ferret?
