Sometimes when ferrets get to the pet store their immune system
could be taxed out. I also purchased a sick kit from the store. He
was in bad condition. I could not get the store to do anything and
I also worked there. This is before I knew the store procedures and
who I could contact to get the animals properly cared for. I
purchased him and took him to the vet. He had a very bad respiratory
condition. They were not sure he was going to be healthy. But,
with tlc and love he made it. He was very underweight and could not
walk. He was very weak and cried alot. To the suprise he pulled
through with flying colors. I would suggest getting him the the
vet. At such a young age. He could start to go down hill fast.
They can prescribe a medication to help him. Please make sure the
kit is getting some type of liquids and nutrition in until you seek
a vet for treatment. You might want to separate from the other kit
until you find out what is going on. I never did. I felt the other
one could give that special feeling when they slept side by side.
Usually, not recommended to keep sick pets with healthy ones.
Unfortunately, the petstore will have you bring the pet back for an
exchange. They are suppose to seek treatment for the pets that are
sick. But, that does not always happen.
