Hi,

I guess I should have been more clear. I'm not
looking for a substitute for hands-on vet care. I
have an appt. for Wednesday. As this all began during
the holidays, I wasn't able to get anything sooner and
was trying to gage the liklihood that this was just
one disease (insulinoma) or more than that since the
stool is green. Although the color is much more
normal today.

As for a wide range of meds, I'm only giving some
colloidal silver and not a lot. She seems to be
responding well. I've never heard of Timmy's Tonic
being counter-indicated (including for insulinoma) and
it's more of a dietary supplement than a medication.
The other things I'm doing are feeding baby food and
water if she seems a bit dehydrated.

I consider all of this to be supportive care and I
don't believe in medicating without talking to a vet
first - which is why I'm NOT giving any pred, even
though I'm pretty sure that's what she'll be
prescribed and I have some on hand from another
ferret.

So far, everyone that has responded has only mentioned
insulinoma. If that explains the green color of the
stool, then I have my answer. If that doesn't explain
the color, then I still may be dealing with a second
disease and would appreciate suggestions as to what it
might be. I won't treat anything (other than
supportive care) without seeing a vet. But having
something to have my vet check for is helpful.

Thank you,

Kim
