Just a word of warning. Early last year I had some bags of TF that
smell 'a little different'. Not really funky. None of my ferrets
stopped eating it. This was early in the breeding season but I
already had jills with kits nursing. None of the reports of 'bad
food' had hit the fml yet.

I had one hell of a time keeping weight on my nursing jills.
Normally my TF and PPP Kitten mix is sufficient. Once the kits
started mush (mainly made of TF), I had several 'failure to thrive'
kits and lost 5 of them to it.

Then this past December I lost one of my 10 month old jills - who was
one of the early kits - to steatitis (sp). This was determined in
the post mortem. This is also known as yellow fat disease and from
my readings on the subject the main contributing factor to this
disease is eating food with rancid fat.

So, a word to the wise, be very, very sure of the quality of the food
you are feeding to your ferrets.
