Subject: Adrenal question

Our ferret, Veil, is about 4. She's high spirited, lovable, eats well and
poops horribly. She's had diarrhea for 8 months, maybe a bit longer. We've
had her on various medications with limited success. She's now on
prednisone. She has good days and bad days...probably more bad than good.
Our vet has indicated that diarrhea can be a symptom of adrenal
disease...I've not heard of that. Any opinions? She does suffer from a lack
of hair on her tail. However, about a year ago, she lost TONS of hair from
her tail to her shoulder blades and it all came back thick and fluffy. I'm
not sure at this point what to think.
