Subject: Re: Lupron & Insulinoma (Lupron Causing Low BG?)

Rather than planning on getting the Luporn shot i think that I'd be
inclined to discuss this with the vet and only get the Lupron shot if
the symptoms from the adrenal caused too much discomfort if the vet
thinks that the shot is the contributing to poos blood sugar control.
Insulinoma is typically a more dangerous problem and more of a
quality of life problem than adrenal neoplasia, and you may have to
weight them against each other.
It might be. There have been diabetic ferrets who had better control
with Lupron, so seeing ones with the opposite blood sugar level
problem have less control is perhaps a possibility. Maybe Lupron in
some way actually decreases BG levels in some ferrets. ( I have the
impression that only some of the diabetic ferrets respond in this way
(better control) and have to wonder how many nuances there may be to
such medical problems that still need to be better understood.)
