Oh, let me not forget to mention that this "chipping" technique works
great for other pills as well. It works out much better for dosage
control than trying to cut even-sized fragments (at least when you
have to give less than a quarter of a pill), and it's easier to divide
up than a powdered pill.
I do the same thing for Kodi's Tagamet, which I have to give at one
twentieth (1/20) of a pill per dose. I don't know about anybody else,
but I just can't cut one of those odd-shaped pills up that
accurately...
This even works for pred, which I understand some ferrets find
objectionable in liquid form.
