I'm in michigan as well and though not active loke dee I have asked
other active ferret owners in the past for recommendations for vets and
have never gotten this guys name. I'd be interested to know where he
works as well.
Mold - I don't know about the moldy poop - that seems pretty bizaare.
heat and humidity accelerate growth right? the room humidity is
probably pretty constant - is their litter box closer to a heater?
also i might wonder about ph or something.
I was actually just thinking of whether mold could cause liver disease,
i had a leak in the roof last fall, i'm not sure exactly where it was -
it didn't come through any ceilings except for the add on back porch
but i could smell mold. i had a whole new roof put on but this summer
the smell came back. its gone again now. also, my one friend who
thinks bathtub drinks cause problems, well shower curtains usually get
a little mold on the bottom.....
