I always hate to disagree with a vet. They have the degree, the
exprerience, the training, the expertise, etc... However... I'm going
to disagree with you vet. Sooner is much, much better than later.

Left untreated, the adrenal disease could cause prostate problems which
could in turn lead to life threatening complications.

Also, if the tumor is a carcinoma in some rare cases it can
metastasize. That is precisely what killed our Ryo-Ohki. The sooner
you get the tumor the less the chance of metastasis.
