Yes, this is ferret health related.
A while back I recall reading about research that was an off-shoot of
it being noticed that India appears to have the lowest colon cancer
rates. One thing found was that turmeric apparently has a helpful
effect. Sadly, I can't find the write-up now. I am trying to recall
the mechanism, and think that it was related to reduced inflammation
but I could be easily mis-recalling. If it is inflammation related I
was wondering if it might be useful for ferrets with inflammatory
bowel problems.
Has anyone run into that report? If so, was a mechanism mentioned
and it hypothetical or known?
Is turmeric safe for ferrets? Anyone know?
