Hi Renee,
Take a deep breath and exhale. Removing a hairball
from the stomach is pretty straight forward and usually
quick and easy. This would be very similar to stomach
surgery on a dog or cat, except using smaller suture material
(3-0 or 4-0 sutures). The after care is similar. I would use
Carafate and Amoxidrops after the surgery plus a/d or
Gerber's baby food for a few days.
