Hi, Cathy,

Why do you suspect surgically induced Addison's disease? Is Sammy
bilateral?

If so, that could be it. Your vet needs to do blood work to determine
Sammy's electrolyte values? Has that been done? What were the values?

If he is bilateral, how much prednisone does he get? Does he also get
florinef (fludrocortinse) or percotin? Generally prednisone is given
with one of these in combination to balance electrolytes.

I'm not a vet, but as I understand it Addison's Disease is an
insufficiency of adrenal products. Medications are given to replace the
missing hormones. Does this apply to Sammy? Well... there isn't nearly
enough info in your post to know.

In your shoes I'd get Sammy back to the vet ASAP.

All the best,
Caity and the notorious nine
