Subject: Bear is sick and I need some ideas please

Bear had bilateral adrenal surgery a few months ago
and has been taking 1/2 a Florinef a day as well as .2
cc's of pred morning and night with baby food.
On Saturday morning he was grinding his teeth a lot
when I took him out to feed him and was almost non
responsive. I gave him his meds and some Karo syrup
and rushed him to the vet. His blood glucose was 118
using blood from a nail. He was rehydrated and given
some Carafate and amoxi drops for his stomach. I was
also given the things necessary to rehydrate him as
needed. I did rehydrate him again on Saturday and
once on Sunday. He ate well being hand fed all day
Sunday till late night. He was back to grinding his
teeth and I had to push every lick of the baby food
into his mouth. I've been told that perhaps the
Florinef isn't doing its job and I'm taking him in
this afternoon as soon as the vet can see him to have
his electrolytes checked and the glucose repeated. Up
until Saturday morning he appeared to be doing well.
I'd like any of the vets to comment or anyone that has
any ideas. Thankyou
