I have a 6 year old male who started loosing patches all over his back, not the classic up the rump loss, but he looked like a dalmation only with bald patches instead of black or white spots. I had adrenal surgery done in Feb., it was a left adrenal, (adrenocarcinoma) plus he had his spleen removed and nodules taken off his pancreas. So yes, it could possibly be adrenal.

This one is again losing patches of fur.......I'm considering trying the melatonin but he is on devil's club (as per his vet) and not sure of the combination.

I would definitely consider it being an adrenal possibility.
