Hi,
My Chumley had his 3rd distemper shot this morning and had a reaction. He started to vomit 15 min after and was promptly taken back and treated, (I always wait at least 45 min) He was drowsy but they said he was stable after he was monitored for a half hour, and to take him home and keep and eye on him.
It's been 1 and 1/2 hours and he has had 1 bout of bloody diarrhea. I immediately called the vet and they said this can happen and I could bring him in for observation or just keep an eye on him if he seems o.k.
He appears alert and has no more bloody stools as of yet. He eaten a little ferret vite and is drinking fluids.
Has any one gone through this before?
Should he be taken back to the vet if he has another bloody stool? Or now? Or is it safe to just monitor him closely?
Not sure what is going to happen and I am very worried.
Any feedback would be appreciated.
thank you
