Dear Suziq:

This is not that unusual. It happens enough. I am not a vet. Just a fuzzy parent. We have ten, and four have violently reacted to shots in the past. I personally just don't think its worth the aggravation and don't plan on doing it to the four of them any more. My vet suggested that it is too
dangerous to consider vaccinating them ( it's called anaphylactic shock reaction) as they almost died. They vomited and spewed out the other end - blood and every other thing that was in them and lay there like they were dead. One of them even stopped breathing before we got to the vet (that was pretty
wild - flying down the highway with my daughter giving mouth to mouth to a ferret !) They needed a shot called epinephrine and oxygen and iv fluids. They (all four) reacted at different times on the same day although they all got their shots at the same time. That was one heck of a day!!!
(and expensive too!) You will get a lot of info on this site about this issue. Read it all.

Good luck and hugs to your little one.

Cecilia
