Yes, it is possible. On separate ferrets we have had each of those
tests not be useful, possibly because the adrenal problems were a bit
too early to be obvious through them. It can happen.

The opposite can also happen, but seems to be extremely rare. We had
one who turned out to have normal adrenals after she passed away from
another cause that precluded any adrenal surgery. She had lost fur
with age. In 20 years with ferrets she was the only ferret we have
had in the family who lost fur without having adrenal growths.
