I am hoping someone can help me. My almost 3 year old male Pupper has broken one of his fangs (not sure the dental name for it). It had a dent going through 1/2 of the tooth already. I use to give him a regular water bottle, the ones where they lick the metal ball. I had to switch to a bowl about 1 year ago because he would push his tooth up into the bottle and scraping against the metal wore down his tooth. I did not see what he did to break the tooth off but it is broken closer to the gum. He is pawing at his mouth, opening his mouth and actually trying to get his paw in it. He was having a real difficult time 1 1/2 hrs ago. I called the vet and they said no problem dont worry about it. I called back and asked for an appointment anyway just to make myself feel better and I gave Pupper wet food which he is eating. Can anyone tell me what can happen without his fang is it alright or is there something I should ask the vet to do. Thanks for your help
