I have had success relieving itchy skin with aloe vera gel (which is also edible). Personally, I would start over investigating common causes of eczema such as hair follicle mites, ringworm, or detergent allergies--just to make sure.

If you continue to be unable to find anything medically wrong with the ferret, you might consider food allergies. Many dogs will show similar symptoms when fed corn or chicken.
