Certainly, vets have reported here and elsewhere having to treat
ferrets after such exposures. Here is just one:

What is unclear are
1. the rate of such complications from raw foods
2. if raw foods or kibbles make any difference in general and if so
in what direction or to what degree
3. which hypotheses about any food option will bear out under study

With more UNknown than is known in this regard we are discussing
preferences and concerns, but not clearly understood benefits or
risks from either side.

That said, if or when folks do choose to go raw they need to balance
the diet; since solely meat will be deficient in multiple regards.
