Well, it hasn't made my ferrets sick in 2 years. I used to be scared of
bacteria and what they may do to the ferrets but then I did some research
thanks to a friend I used to have who started researching and feeding the
BARF diet, so I too started the ferrets on raw chicken. I use whole
chickens including the bone, or chicken backs and wings, I feed beef as well
so they get red meat, I do get some extra heart, add supplements like Omega
3 fatty acids and my ferrets thrive on it. Maybe you'd like to do some

I'm also reading Dr. Ian Billinghurst's "Give your dog a bone" at the moment
which makes fascinating reading! :-)
