You can try Howdershell Animal Clinic, up in St.
Charles, MO (excellent surgeons, see a lot of ferrets,
and are pretty reasonably priced) or Dr. Doug
Pernikoff in Chesterfield, an exotics surgery
specialist -- somewhat less knowledgble about ferrets,
but a good guy, and a very experienced surgeon. He
also does one day a week at the Banfield vet clinic at
PetsMart -- they have fabulous surgical facilities,
but again, they are pretty pricey.
I am sorry that I do not have their numbers - I am not
home now - but they are both in the phone book.
FURRY, the ferret shelter in St. Louis, uses both
these vets, and I personally have used them both, as
well.
