Subject: [ferrethealth] added vitamines for adrenal?

Hi all :)

I am back after some months and now I have questions.

I am trying to be strong, as I just had put my best friend (dog) to sleep. He
had horrible dysplasia in two legs and arthritis. A third leg had a scar
tissue joint. Too much pain and too many drugs.

One of my cats has something weird that has caused him to lose hair, (not the
soft fur) and pull lots of fur out of his tail and pantaloons and vomit on a
regular basis. I started on Timmy's Tonic and silver. Now he doesn't vomit as
often and has mostly quit pulling his tail fur out.

I have always thought that Bianca (ferret) had adrenal disease, but it never
manifested itself past something that looked like mumps at the shoulders.
Several years ago, the vet said, "Let's wait and see." Well, I had her on
Timmy's tonic and Silver until March. (That is when the cat got sick) It kind
of kept the 'mumps' at bay.

About 5-6 weeks ago, the dog got much worse. Sometime during all of this,
Bianca has lost the point from her tail fur, and is getting orange tail.

I am starting her back on the Timmy's and the silver. Since B6 and B12 are
for adrenal problems, would adding these to her diet be good?

She doesn't like treats or anything but her food - Nature's Recipe Maintience
- so I am not sure how to increase it.

Would it be good to start her on Melatonin? I know there have been advances
since Zephyr died two and a half years ago.

Hugs to all who need them,

Kathy.

I know I am just not handling everything well. I couldn't access all of the
archives because we moved. Did we move the archives too?
