Yes, it could have been a seizure. It's hard to tell how much Pred
you are using because the liquid preparations come in several
concentrations.

It is also possible add the medication, Proglycem.

We almost always go with surgery first and then if a ferret becomes
no longer a surgical candidate we go to medications. For some of the
ferrets both of the above meds begin right away, and for others
Proglycem is begun later. I really should ask sometime why the vet
goes one way or another with individual cases...
