I have 3 ferrets that are currently on pediapred, and I feed all of them baby food (turkey) before they get their pred. I feed them with a dropper, so I know exactly how much they are getting. I have noticed that as I am feeding the baby food, their stomachs gurgle, like you describe.
All 3 of these kids eat kibble on a regular basis. The pred is either for insulinoma or IBD. None of them have shown any signs of vomiting or regurgitation, they jusr have vocal tummies.
