I think your problem lies in your definition of vaccination and booster
shot. What a ferret needs is 3 distemper vaccinations at 8, 11 and 14
weeks of age. Then they need a rabies vaccination. Each year after that
they need 1 distemper vaccination and 1 rabies vaccination. These annual
vaccinations are refered to as "boosters" but they are the same vaccine
as the original vaccinations. There are three vaccines that are approved
for ferrets, the IMRAB-3 rabies vaccine and FERVAC-D and Purevac Ferret
Distemper Vaccine. Some vets use Galaxy-D "off-label". My personal
preference is the Purevac.
