Hair loss is not a symptom of insulinoma, but is almost always associated
with adrenal disease. Both illnesses can be seen together, but insulinoma
will not in and of itself cause hair loss. Mysterious wounds - could you be
seeing small bleeding lumps? Those would be mast cell tumors, a common skin
tumor of ferrets - but a diagnosis, of course, cannot be made over the
Internet.

The best treatment for both adrenal disease and for insulinoma, in a ferret
that can withstand surgery, is to do surgery. Both diseases can be managed
medically, however, with various medication and diet regimens.
