Hi, Kristen, and everyone else,

I have two eight year olds here. One had two surgeries in the past
seven months, but for him it's been a new lease on life. He had both
adrenal and insulinoma. He's happy and bouncy now. His symptoms
included everything you described.

Don't give up on George just yet. If your local vet in town isn't
experienced in treating geriatric ferrets then travel a bit to one that
is. Eight is like 80 for you or for me. Two of my great uncles lived
to be 103 and 101, respectively, I don't want anyone giving up on me
just because I'm 80 :)

BTW, I am not suggesting that George needs or should have some kind of
surgery. I am saying you need an experienced ferret vet to do some
tests and determine the best course of action.

All the best,
Caity and the non-stop nine
