I would like to add to the danger of RAWHIDE BONES! Even dogs that have partially chewed rawhide and then buried it or hidden it for later have died from the bacteria that has formed on the rawhide. The unsuspecting owner not realizing that the rawhide was the culprit until it was too late!
Therefore it would never be a good idea to give a ferret rawhide, as they love to hide things for 'a rainy day' and who knows how long a half chewed peice of rawhide could be festering all that bacteria in some 'dark forgotten hidey hole!'---Angela.
