Hi all. Our ferret, Kage, has recently had surgery to remove several
large bladder stones. After analysis, it was found that these stones
were 100% Magnesium Ammonium Phosphate Hexahydrate. To prevent
reocurrence, we need to alter her diet. She is currently getting
Totally Ferret.
Our vet has suggested Science Diet's C/D formula - which is a cat
food. I can't imagine that it has enough protein and fat for our
ferret alone, and so will need to supplement. Can anyone suggest a
diet that will work?
Does anyone else have experience with a ferret with these type
bladder stones? This particular ferret is very thin already - we are
worried about her losing weight after the diet change.
Thank you for any advice you can spare.
