We've dealt with two cardio patients in our time. Our first, Claudia, lived
almost 4 years after she was diagnosed. She was on enacard and lasix for
quite a while and did fine.

Our current second patient, Hannah, was diagnosed very early on a year ago
and was started on enacard then. Because she was started early her heart
condition has actually improved recently.

We've found the key to maintaining a ferret with cardio is frequent
check-ups and X-rays. That way if any changes occur, you and the vet can
decide what course of action to take sooner rather than later.
