Subject: Possible Fleas or Mites

Hi! I'm a newbie, but I've looked through some older stuff & couldn't seem to find what I was looking for, so I'm asking outright. I've had a female sable named Lucy for about 2 years now, & just a few weeks ago, we adopted Rogue, a year old dark sable, from Petco (I know, I know...they're horrible for that stuff). After bringing Rogue to the vet, they found that she has mites in her ears, & I've been medicating both girls for about 3 weeks now. A couple of days ago, I noticed & pulled a few things from Rogue's fur, & they looked like little white pieces of flaky skin. They're very tiny, but I was thinking, could these be fleas or mites? I gave both girls a bath last night & still found another of these things on Rogue again. Lucy doesnt' seem to have any on her fur. Any suggestions?
