Hello. Thank you everyone for emailing me about Pippin's lump on his back. The vet thinks it is from the vaccination shot and told me to monitor it. All week it seemed the same. Yesterday I think I noticed that the lump is slightly smaller. So that's good news. I'm so relieved :-)
Merry had a chemo session this week and the oncologist gave her a thorough check up since she was vomiting a little after we started her on the methotrexate. She is doing great with the chemo and has adjusted to her meds well, but now she has a respiratory infection. Now she has to take liquid anitbiotics 3x a day in addition to her chemo meds. At least she doesn't mind this pink liquid (can't remember name, it wasn't amoxicillian) and Merry will lick it off the syringe for me. I don't take Merry for her chemo so I didn't get to ask the dr. any questions. Does anyone know what may have caused a respiratory infection? Can it be contagious to my other ferts? I'm not able to call the dr. until next week as he out of the office until Mon. Otherwise all is well in ferretdom.
Dooks! Trish ~ Merry, Pippin & Zira
