I have a little girl, somewhere I believe between 8 and 9 years old, that I=
took in from a shelter. She's on pedia-pred. 0.4 cc a day. Her levels ar=
e fine, she was just checked. She's also blind, does not live with any of =
my other ferrets as she doesn't like them-she was found abandoned in an apa=
rtment, but not sure how long ago. Al she basically eats is baby food, Euk=
anuba high calorie maintenance canned food, and a little whipping cream all=
mixed together. She will, at times, eat Totally Ferret treats or perhaps =
some Hill's hairball and dental diet. Other than that she won't eat dry fo=
od any more. I've tried moistening it and putting it into her duck soup an=
d she barely touches it. She is becoming incontinent, sometimes wants to w=
alk around outside her cage, sometimes not. Likes her hairball medicine an=
d loves to have a little Ferretone. Lately I've noticed her hair is starti=
ng to fall out, all over her body. You can pet her and it's there. One da=
y I had to bathe her, due to her fouling herself, and hair came out. Never=
having had this elderly a furkid before I have to ask, is this hairloss so=
mething normal?

Also, I keep giving my kids hairball meds, but I've noticed in my original =
group, who are all about 5 years of age, that someone passed some hair yest=
erday in their feces. Sometimes there's a stool that's thinner than the ot=
hers. I've been trying to give them hairball treatment one to two times a =
week. No one is depressed, all are playing, acting normal, healthy appetit=
es, etc. I've not experienced this before, unless it's something I missed.=
As Dr. Williams states, you can't get hyper of their bathroom habits! I'=
m going to give them all baths today, for which I'm sure I'll be the most p=
opular person in the state, but need to know what else I should do. Since =
we moved I've not had time to fix them their chicken gravy, which is always=
a staple in their diet, but that will soon be forthcoming to them.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated from any/everyone.=
