Don't forget leaving the sitter and your vet with "permission to treat" letters in case the ferret gets sick or has an accident.
Have her read up on hazards to ferrets and danger signs for health problems; loan her a good general reference like _Ferrets for Dummies_ beforehand to study.
When we go away we usually arrange for a vet tech to sit for our guys and that works marvelously well.
