I will add this tip to my article on megaesophagus (http://www.miamiferret.org/fhc/megaesophagus.htm). It is so tough to find out what these mega-e kids will respond to and injectable meds should be in the arsenal.
Perhaps some day we will find out what causes this condition and be able to treat it. It would be great to find out if there is any common item. Could it be stress related? Could it be caused by untreated helicobacter? I hope your pathologist can get some answers. Please do be sure and post results.
