Dear Amber - My suggestion would be that if you are going on vacation, you should arrange it so that she is not around the other males during this time period. While nothing truly strikes me as evidence of cardiomyopathy, ferrets with heart disease tolerate this type of stress very poorly.
You may simply be dealing with an animal which has been on a poor nutritional plane and obviously one which has not been around other ferrets. The stress of the introduction may lead to other problems , such as gastricu ulcers - a condition that you certainly wouldn't want to have occur while you are away.
