Although we never checked pressure
the symptims sound extraordinarily close to those we had with an elder male
ferret. - we first noticed this in Farence several years back he was about
6 years of age- first what we assumed was a cataract appeared in the eye.
otherwise all was well for about 6 months- then he started having slight
seizures which were attributed by a local vet to insulinoma. He was put on
pred orally and it continued okay for a while longer. - The condition
worsened however later the pupil turned green in color- and bulged more
obviously causing great discomfort.

I won't go into the story about what some vets wanted to do - in the end I
determined his life quality was non existent he was helped to the bridge
and what the cause was a retro bulbar tumor which put pressure against the
eye.

I am so glad I did not listen to the one vet who wanted to suture the lids
shut because he felt it was an ulcerated cornea- he applied Genticin
ointment to the eye and then the symptoms began worsening to audible tones
of discomfort. The pain in the end must have been horrific- ...
I surely hope your kid does not have the same condition. Caught earlier
with eye removal he might have had a better chance!
