My ferret, Brandy,(3.5 yrs old at the time), had a mild reaction a 1.5
yrs ago to her distemper vacinne and this past May she went in for another
distemper shot, we pre-treated with benadryl and she had the new merial
distemper vaccine and had a severe reaction and almost didn't make it. She
reacted alot like Podo did and was sent home about 6 hrs later after she
stabilized, but she remained lethargic and not right for another week. She
did sneeze some and her nose was still a pale red. I was worried the whole
week that she would still die, but she improved and of course now she will
never recieve another distemper vaccination.
