Have your vet carefully check TR's heart.
TR's spleen was only 1/2 ounce smaller than Schultz's. Schultz had his spleen removed because it was so engorged that it was endangering his life. Yet pathology showed absolutely nothing wrong with it.
One month after surgery, I discovered Schultz had labored breathing. When I listened to his heart, he was skipping beats. My vet put him on enacard and Schultz lived for 32 months after that. It turned out the engorged spleen was because the heart was not pumping efficiently.
Good luck with TR.
