I am currently treating Luigi for helicobacter with Biaxin. I have a
hard time getting a consistent concentration because it is in granule
form suspended in a flavored syrup. I shake well but before I get the
syringe in the bottle, the granules have settled at the bottom of the
bottle.

Sometime Luigi takes it willingly (probably when the concentration
is weak) and sometimes he refuses it (probably when the concentration
is strong). I tasted the Biaxin granules and noticed it is very
bitter. No wonder Luigi doesn't want it. The sweet flavored syrup
just barely covers the bitterness.

The granules also clump at the end of syringe. I push all the liquid
out of the syringe but there is a clump of Biaxin granules that remain
in the syringe.

Is there another form of Biaxin that would work better in a syringe?

Should I try to crush all of the granules before I pull it into the
syringe? I think this would distribute the Biaxin more evenly and it
wouldn't clump in the syringe.

Thanks for any advice you may have!
