Hi everyone and I hope this finds everyone and their ferrets healthy.
I know there has been such great debate over ADV lately and I think we have
United covered pretty well except for the question of what type of test are
we talking about. I understand now about the waiting period, if the mother
is a healthy ferret, you can being testing your kits at twelve weeks of age
If the ferret was born from a mother that is positive I understand we need to
wait at least four to six months before testing so that the kits immune
system is fully developed. My question is, is this I guess you could call
rule of thumb true for both the blood test and the quick saliva tests or toe
nail tests?
Also does anyone have any information on Avecon's testing guidelines?
Also if I am incorrect about the "rule of thumb" please someone correct me as
I am trying to put this all together into an easily understood compiled
essay.
Thank you in advance,
Sincerely, Tina and the fuzzy trio.
