I have used the pediatric (liquid) Biaxin on several occasions during my 3 =
1/2 years of running a ferret shelter. It came in the manufacturers bottle=
, it was not compounded - it was the commercially available formula. It ha=
d a fruit punch flavor, and most ferrets that I gave it to took it very wil=
lingly (some even liked it). I obtained it from my local human pharmacy - =
Walgreens. The concentration was 50mg/ml. Also, not a single medication t=
hat we use on ferrets other than the ferret vaccines were designed for ferr=
ets, as there are NO drugs available (other than vaccines) that are license=
d for use in ferrets. ALL medications given to ferrets are used extralabel=
. Just my 2 cents. :-)
