Dear Laurel:

This is indeed an odd occurrence. Can you clarify what your lab means bythe term "full field" in reference to the red cells in the sediment analysis.? Normally most labs would say "innumerable" or something like that.

Everything else is textbook normal on the bloodwork - it is actually unusual to see one quite so normal.

If indeed the lab is saying that there is truly a tremendous number of red cell in the urine, I think our next stop would probably be an ultrasound of the urinary tract to see if there may be a tumor in there somewhere.
